- Ponemos a hervir agua y ahí ponemos 3 o 4 jitomates con la pielecita cortada en cruz para poderlos pelar, los pelamos y los ponemos en la licuadora, en un comal ponemos a asar dos dientes de ajo grandecitos y los agregamos a la licuadora, añadimos un trozo de una tableta de achiote (un cuadrito como de 1 cm), 2 cucharaditas de consomé en polvo, 2 cucharadas de harina de maíz (Maseca) o bien una bolita de masa como para hacer una tortilla
- Y unas 4 cucharadas de pepitas de calabaza tostadas (yo uso las que se usan como botana que ya vienen doraditas). Molemos todo muy bien ayudándonos con un poco de agua y lo vaciamos en la olla donde cocimos los iib a que hierva todo junto.
